Interview Questions

1.) If you could choose your topic again, would you choose the same one, or a different one? Explain why.

I would like to choose same topic as I finished. First, I decided to take this topic because I was struggled with grammar and writing essay, however, after I finished researching, it seemed easier to use and handle grammars. As I watched Blooms Taxonomy vocabulary, I had better to construct sentences and I felt like I’m improving in writing essay, too. I strongly believe that grammars are numerous and many things to study even though I felt like I finished studying about grammars. I’m still not good at writing essay because my weakest part in English is grammar. That’s why, I have to study more and research much information, which related to grammar and how to write good essay. I will try to put more efforts inside of my grammar skills and essay skills that we supposed to know about.

2.) If you could re-do any part of your project so far, what would you change and why?

This term was really busy that I couldn’t really concentrate with my project such as ESL project. I hoped I could have more time to get this project done, however, it seems hard because we had a lot of projects in different subjects and test as well. First of all, I would like to change my survey questions into Google documents that reader can answer it more easily and comfortably. Second, I would like to change my table of survey’ answers, because it looks little bit messy and sometimes, my friends answered some questions insincerely such as ‘I don’t know’ or ‘Yes’ so that it was really hard to evaluate all questions and next time, I had better ask them to answer it actively and correctly or I have to make questions simply and to entertain readers.

3.) Do you think that you have successfully shown your learning through the tasks that you've completed during this unit so far? Explain your answer.

I think my project is not successful because I didn’t use my time effectively and many other elements that disturbed me. At first, I planned to ask Ms.Dianne as my questionnaire, but I failed to make appointment. As I told you, I didn’t have much time to concentrate with this project and I hoped I could longer time to complete it properly. What I have shown were only planning, survey and table of survey’ answers. To complete my project successfully, I had to put more efforts and used time effectively, but I didn’t do it so I completed my project unsuccessfully.

Unit of Inquiry (Week 4-5)

Activities	First, I started to research and make a planning sheet on my topic. Ms.Dianne explained us to do it on the board how to construct and conduct a survey. I wanted to gather information in a survey from my friends at SWA.	Great descriptive writing and very informative

Completed Task	I finished making my planning sheet and survey. Then I emailed it to my friends  and I got many different answers that I didn’t expect. I appreciated my friends’ help in providing me with the opportunity to collect this important data.	Yes I enjoyed completing your survey too.

Summary of my project (Video)

Reflection On Weeks 1 - 5 (ESL)

During the past 5 weeks I have created 2 tasks on my topic “How can I use my learning style to develop strategies to improve my writing?”

First I researched using the net and found an article that provided background information to help my understanding of the issues related to how I write good essay and use good grammar in right place.

With this information I created a summary in the topic and posted this on my blog page. This helped my understanding and provided me with more information to move to the next stage on Blooms.

During the “comprehension” stage I created my second task. I create a survey on how people learn and sent it to all my friends at SWA. I then embeded a visual snapshot to show audience my understanding of the topic. We were asked to record our summaries as a video and embed the file into our blog page to demonstrate our oral language skills and ability to mast intonation and expression. I found this difficult to do at first but Nini, Jaeseung, Fransisca and Katty were able to assist me and I really appreciated with their cooperation. I was pleased with the final product.

Now I am preparing for the next stage of Blooms “Application” and I am deciding how I will design my next task that could include: an interview, a simulation, a presentation using IT tools and illustration.

How can I use my learning style to develop strategies to improve my writing?

·       Using many media (newspaper, magazine, articles, TV, radio, website, dictionary and etc.)

·       Try to write essay many times as practice and important to read many articles, which helps us improve in writing skills such as newspaper and editorial.

·       To improve my vocabulary, I just have to memorize many words as many as I possible. Using variety techniques (Using paper, peer, machines and etc.)

·       Computer-assisted language learning.

You can write a novel

Whether we succeed or fail depends on influencing by your mental attitude. You have to try hard on writing and have to write it in correct form.

First, when we start writing, we have to have an idea or thought on what we want to write about. Furthermore, it is really important to consider writing on something because it expresses what we are passionate about and how knowledgeable we are. You shouldn’t be bored with your topic in order to not to get in difficulty when writing your book.

The subject for your book probably influences the style of the writing you choose. You have to get as much content, which relates to your subject as you possibly can. It will help you give more information and will give you the chance to take note of different styles of writing – casual, conversational, technical and dramatic. Every subject has a different style of writing and you have to use appropriate writing style for your subject.

By using a good mental attitude, good writing style for subject probably helps you to develop your skills and make your own individual writing skill it also helps to improve your writing skills.
